A series of attempted illegal adoption of children in Spain of Guinea-Bissau, one of the countries

Uma s\u00e9rie de tentativas de adop\u00e7\u00e3o irregular na Espanha de crian\u00e7as da Guin\u00e9-Bissau, um dos pa\u00edses
\nmais pobres do mundo, levou o Governo de Madrid a congelar as rela\u00e7\u00f5es desse tipo com aquela antiga col\u00f3nia portuguesa na \u00c1frica Ocidental, noticiou ontem o jornal El Pa\u00eds.
\nAs poss\u00edveis irregularidades foram comunicadas pelo consulado da Espanha no Senegal, pa\u00eds para o qual, ali\u00e1s, j\u00e1 se sabia, desde Novembro do ano passado, que estavam a ser traficadas crian\u00e7as guineenses, conforme na altura alertou a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o SOS Talib\u00e9, dirigida por Malam Baio.
\nDesta vez, crian\u00e7as que chegavam \u00e0 Espanha sob o pretexto de receberem tratamento m\u00e9dico poderiam
\nservir para adop\u00e7\u00f5es irregulares, como j\u00e1 tem acontecido na Fran\u00e7a e em outros pa\u00edses europeus, em
\nrela\u00e7\u00e3o a petizes de diversas regi\u00f5es africanas.
\n„Mais de 50% das crian\u00e7as da Guin\u00e9-Bissau s\u00e3o inexistentes para o Estado, por n\u00e3o terem sido registadas, situa\u00e7\u00e3o que a UNICEF quer alterar com uma ac\u00e7\u00e3o de registo em larga escala a partir do Leste do pa\u00eds“, destacou, h\u00e1 tempos, o jornalista Muss\u00e1 Bald\u00e9, da ag\u00eancia Lusa. E \u00e9 a partir dessa realidade que algumas redes t\u00eam actuado, fazendo transitar os pequenos para os pa\u00edses vizinhos ou para a Europa, numa situa\u00e7\u00e3o algo compar\u00e1vel \u00e0 que, no ano passado, se verificou no Chade com os franceses da organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Arca de Zo\u00e9, que acabaram por ser detidos e julgados.
\nUm dos casos que recentemente chamaram a aten\u00e7\u00e3o do c\u00f4nsul espanhol em Dacar, Ricardo A\u00f1ino, foi o de duas crian\u00e7as guineenses para as quais a funda\u00e7\u00e3o privada NEPP pediu visto para que fossem tratadas no Hospital Geral da Catalunha, numa altura em que haviam principiado em Barcelona iniciativas com vista \u00e0
\nadop\u00e7\u00e3o.
\nO visto foi pedido por Jordi Domigo Ribas, fundador da NEPP e chefe do servi\u00e7o de Psiquiatria do Hospital Geral da Catalunha, que costuma ir \u00e0 Guin\u00e9-Bissau em viagens de coopera\u00e7\u00e3o. Mas este m\u00e9dico negou ao El
\nPa\u00eds ter cometido qualquer irregularidade, havendo argumentado que s\u00f3 tratara da ida das crian\u00e7as para a Pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e9rica a pedido de uma sua compatriota, natural da cidade de Tarragona, a qual se condoera delas.
